The Compagnia Vitale is a professional dance company in Ticino (Switzerland) directed by Corinna Vitale.

To reach other than initiated circles, the company, besides its performances in theatres, tries to bring dance to the peripheries.

Thus a completely unique repertoire emerged which is marked by the desire to keep dance alive, to make it accessible and to really bring it to the people.

The choreographers' passion focusses on the entwining of dance and music; preferably with live orchestras.

Choreography, artistic direction

Originary of Vienna (AUT), grows up in Switzerland, lives now in Verscio (Ticino).
1980 - 1984 studies at the Orff-Institut of the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Followed by three years of ongoing formation in Modern Dance, composition and improvisation in San Francisco and Berkeley (California, USA).

As choreographer, dancer and teacher she has worked in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (with T.A.N.Z Braunschweig, MOIRA Tanztheater and Lucinda Weaver).

Since 1990 she teaches dance and choreographs at the "Scuola Teatro Dimitri" in Verscio (CH).

In 1996 she founds the"Compagnia Vitale".
