Corinna Vitale

originary of Vienna (AUT), grows up in Switzerland, lives now in the Centovalli (Ticino). 1980 - 1984 studies at the Orff-Institute of the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg. Followed by three years of ongoing formation in Modern Dance, Composition and Improvisation in San Francisco and Berkely, California, USA.

Since 1990 she teaches dance at the "Scuola Teatro Dimitri", University school for Physical theatre and since 2008 she is its head of Master Studies.

In 1996 she founds the "Compagnia Vitale" .

In 2010 together with the musician and composer Oliviero Giovannoni she directs the programme for the Swiss Circus Monti. Rhythm in the tent.

The Compagnia Vitale

is a professional dance company in Ticino (Switzerland) directed by Corinna Vitale.

To reach other than initiated circles, the company, besides its performances in theatres, tries to bring dance to the peripheries.

Thus a completely unique repertoire emerged which is marked by the desire to keep dance alive, to make it accessible and to really bring it to the people.

The choreographers' passion focusses on the entwining of dance and music; preferably with live orchestras.
